Catching Up: January and February 2011

I guess starting a new recipe blog has inspired me to get caught up on our family blog.  Designing that blog was fun, so I thought I'd try my hand at it with the family blog to breathe some new life into it.  I kind of like this blog-designing thing!  Anyway, off to catch up.

Audrey turned 15 in January.  For those of you doing the math, yes my days as a mom of a non-dating child are numbered.  Give me strength.
Audrey requested a black, red, and white cake.

At the party.
Another cake for earlier this year was one I made for our Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet.  The theme was "Tailgating".  It was so much fun to make!
A picnic cloth with cooler, plates of food, and a grill.

Had fun making the potato salad, onion slices, cheese, hot dog....I do love me some miniatures.

The plate of hostess cupcakes.....all the kids wanted that plate!

Blue and gold pom poms to go with the theme.
Thomas won the Pinewood Derby in our pack this year.  He was so happy.

Thomas and Spenser with their cars.

Thomas with his awards.

Wow.  And that's it for the first two months of the year?

  1. If I were still in your ward and was the scout leader I'd totally rig it so your sons would always win if you made cakes that cool.
